Eating comfort foods (every now and then) can be incredibly healing, even though your rational brain might not consider it highly nutritious. Food has the power to impact us on a level deeper than just our physical well-being. What we eat can reconnect us to precious memories...

What would your life be like if you treated food and your body as you would treat your beloved – with gentleness, respect and love? The next time you eat your soul food, do so with awareness and without guilt, and enjoy all the healing and nourishment it brings you.

Chia yoghurt

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Chilling: 7 hours

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. chia seed
  • 1 cup (2 dl) almond milk
  • 1 handful of blueberries, raspberries, strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon chopped almonds/nuts
  • ½ teaspoon of honey (optional)

Preparation:

  1. The day before you want to eat your yogurt, mix chia seeds and milk. Mix it well with a whisk as the seeds tend to stick together at first. Then put it in the fridge overnight.
  2. Before eating, give it a good stir and add e.g. honey for taste. Garnish with berries.
